Being a Canadian expat currently living in Paris, I must admit that I love the quietness of August. It is a reprieve to the intensity of the normal intensity of the city and it is amazing to be able to walk or bike in the streets with no noise of traffic. Yes, a lot of shops are closed but you always manage to find one that is opened. Thanks for liking a few of our posts about Paris. (Suzanne)

Thanks Jane for the reminder, but, maybe next year we’ll go again and trust in Paris Attitude to find us a nice apartment in which to live for a month. We loved our experience in 2013 on rue Froideveaux, staring from the kitchen each morning at the sleeping folk in Montparnasse Cimitiere. Your blog is inspiring. Thanks, M Walker
